FAQ'S

Do you travel for family shoots?

Yes! Travel fees would only apply to photo shoots located outside of the Chicagoland area. The IRS standard mileage fees are .55 / mile. However, if I'm already going to be in your area, no travel fees will apply.

What's included in a full session?

Are you also a food photographer?

Yes, I am! I was originally an art director in advertising before quitting my day job to pursue food & beverage photography on my own. I do family shoots when my schedule allows, because it's fun for me to switch things up behind the camera... and my family clients love it!

When will I receive my photos?

You'll receive edited, finalized, high resolution digital images in a secure, online image gallery within two weeks after our photo shoot date. A pin will be provided with immediate download access to all of the best images from our photo shoot together.

What is your style?

I'm very "in the moment" with my family shoots. Think of it like going on a walk together. We'll hang out and I'll provide a little guidance to help you get comfortable in front of the camera. Overall, just be yourselves and I'll do the rest. My goal is to capture the moments that make your family unique and beautiful. Do you shoot weddings or newborns?

I do not shoot weddings or newborns, but I'm happy to connect you with some very talented photographers who do! Just email me and I'll send you some contacts.

Full sessions include the following:

* 60 minute photo shoot
* Location of your choice
* Two week turnaround for image delivery
* Secure, online image gallery access
* High resolution, edited, digital images
* Complimentary prints from my print lab
(one 12x18 print or three 8x12 prints -
custom size options available)
* Print directly from your gallery
* Print release form

A signed Photography Agreement is required to hold photo shoot dates. A check for the session fee is due at our photo shoot.

What is a print release form?

A print release form grants you the right to print your images at the printer of your choice. You can order prints from your gallery or you are welcome to download the images and print anywhere you'd like. I cannot guarantee the print quality from other printers.

How do I plan for a family photo shoot?

There are three things to keep in mind when planning ahead for your family photo shoot:

Location, season and clothes.

How do we figure out what to wear?

Everyone's style is different, so stay true to yourselves. My advice is not to wear clothes with graphics like words, numbers or characters. If you search "family photography outfits" on Pinterest, you can start getting some inspiration.
