I love working with restaurants when the team is as passionate about their craft as I am about mine. This is one you’ll want to keep an eye on and I’m excited to share some sneak peeks from our shoot together out in Colorado. I have been meaning to gush over Rex’s Family of Restaurants newest addition, Salt & Lime, since the new year, so come and get it!

Salt & LimeLocation

Salt & Lime is located in the heart of Steamboat Springs, right on Lincoln Avenue. When I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with an abundance of natural light pouring in from the large front windows and a lot of open space with bright white walls, blue bar stools and hints of warm reds, pinks and yellows scattered throughout the booths and wall decor.

There’s a seat to please everyone’s comfort, from “belly-up-to-the-bar” stools, to cozy booths and even high top tables. I sat at the bar after our shoot together and this summer, Mike and I plan to sit on their roof deck. Yep, they have a roof deck too.

Salt & Lime’s menu consists of a twist on classic Mexican food and the flavors are fresh, colorful and delicious. Chef Vicki knows her food. I enjoyed the fish tacos and the loaded guacamole for lunch after my shoot. And, even though I was in Colorado in the heart of winter, her food made me feel like I was somewhere warm and tropical for a moment… I savored every minute of it.
